Step 5: Invite Others to Get Involved in Your Blog
Now that your blog has some fantastic content, let’s invite others to join the party…

Your blog is now ready to go public.
It has some explanatory pages and some great posts just waiting for others to comment on.
There are two key ways to introduce others to your blog.
a. Email
A very simple way to invite others is to send them an email with a link to your site embedded in it. Remember that your address is yourblog.wordpress.com.
Tell them a little bit about your blog and don’t forget to explain to them what a blog is!
They might also appreciate some guidance on what you would like them to do on your blog.
If you want them to simply comment on interesting points then tell them they can do so by clicking on the “Comment” link under each post.
If you want them to contribute posts or upload photos, however, you will need to follow the “Invites” steps below.
b. Invites
To add someone who does not have a Wordpress.com username or blog:
- Log in to your dashboard
- Click on the “Users / Invites” tab
- Enter the author’s first name, last name and email address in the appropriate fields
- Check the box labelled “Add user to my blog as a contributor”
- Click the “Send Invite” button
Your new contributor will receive an email inviting them to sign up for a Wordpress.com account. Once they have signed up, you’ll see them listed as a Contributor on your “Users” tab. You can change them to a different role (Author or Editor) later if you need to.
Note: Please be very careful when adding a new Administrator user to your blog. Other Administrators are effectively co-owners. They have as much power over your blog as you do, including the ability to permanently delete it, and the power to remove you from your own blog.

Congratulations!
You now have a fully functioning, interactive blog!
